The Atto 3 Hatchback is BYD’s first electric car in Australia. It is front wheel drive and in the extended range version, comes with a 60Kw Lithium, Iron Phosphate (LFP) blade battery giving it a range of 420Km. It has a five star ANCAP rating.

The blade battery uses cell to pack technology which saves weight giving the car more range. The use of LFP rather than the conventional lithium manganese cobalt batteries means they are more durable and contain no cobalt. The blade battery is incredibly safe, passing the battery penetration test without a thermal event (Overheating)

The Atto 3 uses advanced packaging of the motor, power electronics, charger, DC-DC converter, AC-DC converter, and battery management system in one unit, saving weight and improving efficiency. It is powered by by a 150kW and 310Nm permanent-magnet synchronous motor and uses about 16kW  of energy per 100km.
